Green Living
Sustainability is part of our company’s DNA. Sustainability significantly influenced Fairway to pursue apartment development, as the efficient use of land is one of our country’s most essential priorities in terms of sustainability. On the same acre that could accommodate ten houses, we can build a hundred spacious apartments, significantly reducing the environmental footprint.
As Colombo and the rest of the country continue to expand, land efficiency remains vital in balancing urban development with the conservation of forests and wildlife.
Our commitment to sustainability also extends to our construction practices. We use only engineered timber - a renewable material produced from waste wood - ensuring that no Sri Lankan trees are felled for our projects. In addition, we incorporate advanced technologies for water and energy efficiency, further reducing our environmental footprint.

Fairway Properties has been consistently recognized for excellence in construction and design. Fairway on the Waterfront and Fairmount – Urban Oasis were awarded the ICTAD Construction Excellence Awards in 2008 and 2010 respectively. Fairway Galle received the Asia Pacific Property Award for Best Residential High-Rise Development in Sri Lanka (2019–2020) and the National Construction Merit Award (2019–2020). Fairway Elements was honored with the Asia Pacific Property Award for Apartment Condominium Sri Lanka (2020–2021) and the National Construction Excellence Award in 2019.
